SECOND CHANCE EMPLOYMENT SERVICES AND THE AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF UNIVERSITY WOMEN ("AAUW")HAS JOINED FORCES TO IMPROVE THE EDUCATION LEVEL OF VICTIMS OF VIOLENCE

The American Association of University Women has now partnered with SCES and will provide incredible opportunities for their clients to advance their careers. Washington, DC- On November 14, 2008, SCES successfully joined forces with AAUW in order to further improve the lives of women and their children. AAUW is a nationally recognized organization with over a hundred years of experience that will provide Client's of Second Chance Employment Services with fellowships and grants for them to pursue graduate education as well as provide these women with the opportunity to intern with any AAUW department to gain personal guidance and experience essential to advancement. Dr. Ludy Green, President and Founder of Second Chance Employment Services ("SCES"), met with Linda Hallman, Executive Director of the American Association of University Women ("AAUW"), and Jill Birdwhistell, AAUW Chief of Strategic Advancement to discuss this incredible opportunity. Education and employment are inextricably linked, and this partnership between SCES and AAUW will benefit all women involved. Together, AAUW's mission of equity for all women and SCES's mission of promoting financial stability for victims of domestic violence will significantly impact the lives of so many women and their children. Their goals and areas of specialty will greatly compliment each other. SCES the only non-profit organization of its kind, serving financially at-risk women by helping them gain economic independence from their abusers through meaningful, long-term employment.
